Our daughter's toddler girl bedroom was one of the very first rooms we decorated in our brand new home! So since we had many more rooms to go, we had to stick to a budget.
Certain room aspects are worth splurging on while others were easy to accomplishment on budget.
My goal for this space was to create a beautiful room to move our daughter into so that baby brother could move into the nursery!

Girls Trundle Daybed
I basically designed Taylor's big girl room around her trundle bed.
Why a trundle bed? I had a trundle bed my entire childhood! It serves as an additional bed for sleepovers but can be put away so that when not in use which makes the room feels a lot bigger!
It took me a pretty long time to find the perfect girls trundle bed for Taylor's big girl room! I was searching online and even went to a few stores in person. I wanted something high quality that would not break the bank.
I shopped lots of white trundle beds. Many of them cost way more than I had budgeted. That is why I was so happy when I found the perfect one!

A new mattress was also on this list for this bedroom refresh. Foam mattresses are my favorite so that is what we got! We are in the process of switching over to all non-toxic products, including our mattresses! I found this Brentwood mattress brand online and we love it!

Extra Wide White Dresser
Sticking with this theme of toddler girl bedroom ideas on a budget, I found this extra large double dresser for a great deal! The bright white dresser goes perfect with her twin trundle bed.
I changed out the drawer hardware for just $16! These crystal drawer knobs also come in other colors.
Such an easy way to dress up the dresser and make it look more expensive!

Toddler Room Curtains
We went with blackout curtains so that Taylor can go to bed while it is still light out in the Summer time and so she sleeps in later in the morning!
I also chose curtains with white backing because her room is on the front out the house. I tried curtains that were pink with pink backing but when they are closed, you can see the pink through the windows on the front of the house. Something important to consider when choosing curtains for any room!
Even though we have white linen curtains, this curtain comes in lots of sizes & colors but all of them have a white backing.

When I started Taylor's toddle room, the paint color was the original builder grade white.
Once I decided I wanted all white curtains, the room had to be painted. We when with a color called Canvas Tan from Sherwin Williams. Check out all our paint colors.

I was drawn to inspiration photos with gallery walls! This one sure was fun to hang, NOT! Just kidding, it wasn't too bad. We put a bunch of brown paper up on the wall to measure everything out which helped a ton!
Most of the gallery wall art is from Hobby Lobby! Hobby Lobby has a 50% off wall art sale every other week! Plus their wall art prices are very reasonable to start. They have so many cute kids themed room decor!
There are also a few diy toddler girl room decor items on this gallery wall.
First, I bought the letter "T" for Taylor & spray painted it gold. Added some twine to hang it from and that's it!

Toddler Girls Room Reading Nook
I've always loved the little canopy in the inspiration photo that I shared! We purchased a canopy & even installed it but with the curtains, it was just too much fabric. The downside of having too many windows I guess.
A reading nook is a great way to spruce up your toddler girls bedroom without breaking the bank!

Toddler Girls Room Pink Area Rug
I can't even count how many area rugs I have in my home but this pink wool rug is one of my favorite! I shopped a lot of different rugs for toddler girl room but this pink wool rug was in my top 2!

Toddler Girls Bedding
There are lots of options out there of toddler bedding for girls out there. I really just wanted something plain & simple. White bedding is so classic so I went with a white twin duvet cover.

I have recently started to get all my bedding from Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids. I love their super soft organic cotton sheets.

And then for the finishing touches on the bed, I added some colorful pillows and fun stuffed animals.
